Enquire: LaunchWe design beautiful, commercially sharp websites for tradespeople, clinics and local professionals. The kind that make a good first impression and turn visitors into enquiries.
01 Positioning
North & Stone designs websites for plumbers, electricians, clinics, salons, accountants and other Irish local businesses who are ready to look as good as they actually are.
We keep our output small on purpose. Every site we ship is art-directed, written for conversion, built on solid foundations, and made to earn its keep. Not to win design awards at the expense of the phone ringing.
Every layout decision is tested against one question: will this make the right visitor pick up the phone?
Your site should look like your business, not a theme. We hand-compose every page with typography, grid and space doing the heavy lifting.
You give us the brief. We handle copy, design, build, hosting and launch. No surprises. No hourly drip.

03 What we make
We compose every page around the way your best customers actually decide. Not around a theme. Typography, photography and structure do the selling before a single button is clicked.
Clear positioning, thoughtful calls to action, and contact points placed where they make sense. On selected packages, we also set up Google Analytics and Tag Manager so you have a clearer view of performance.
We host it, maintain it, and handle changes. Request an edit, we do it. You stay focused on the work you actually want to be doing.
04 Process
A deliberate process with no loose ends. You see progress quickly, sign off once, and go live with confidence.
Step 01
You complete a structured form covering your business, services, customers, and any visual references or inspiration. We use that to shape the direction of the site.
Step 02
We develop the visual direction, page layout, and overall structure of the site, along with the core written copy.
Step 03
You review the site and send back any feedback. We make the agreed refinements and prepare everything for launch.
Step 04
Once approved, the site goes live on either our managed hosting or your own preferred setup. Files, credentials and a short handover note are delivered on the day.
05 Pricing
Three clear tiers, all done-for-you. Hosting, care and changes listed honestly below. No hourly drip, no surprises.

§ A note from the founder
I’m Colin. A psychoanalyst of more than ten years, and the guiding pair of hands behind North & Stone.
My first vocation involves listening. The consulting room asks for something very particular. A careful attention, a regard for what’s said between the lines, a stubborn respect for detail, and an instinct for how to intervene. It turns out a good website asks for almost exactly the same thing.
Alongside the clinical work, there has always been a second, quieter craft. Design. Search. Analytics. Branding. The architecture of a presence online.
I’ve spent the last ten years designing and working on websites in one form or another, and over the years I’ve helped friends, colleagues and clinicians shape their websites from the wordmark up, and watched, with real pleasure, what a considered first impression actually does to a career.
The same instinct has shaped the clinic itself, both online and in the physical spaces we work in. Our digital presence has grown to support the work of 37 therapists, and I’ve always cared deeply about how those spaces feel, taking real satisfaction in designing rooms that are calm, thoughtful, and properly composed.
“A relentless attention to detail is what my training demanded; it’s what I bring, almost helplessly, to every line of copy, every kerned letter, every pixel of margin.
Some of this tendency is much older than the previous ten years. At fourteen I was pulling computers apart in my bedroom and rebuilding them, piece by piece, until they booted. Technical graphics became my favourite subject in school: the geometry of it, the discipline of a clean orthographic view. Those instincts never really left.
The analytic ear, a designer’s eye, the need for a genuinely creative outlet. All of it led here.
§ On the name
North stone is an equivocation. It means several things at once. A marker, a bearing, a thing that does not move when everything else does. I’ll leave the rest of the meanings unsaid; a good name earns its ambiguity.
07 Common questions
If the answer isn’t here, write to us. We reply personally, usually within the day.
Often. A plumber or a one-chair salon is exactly who the Launch tier is built for: a single, senior page that turns your name into enquiries.
It depends on the scope and scale of the project. We pride ourselves on our efficiency, and making things as easy as possible. So start to live, from the day we kick off. We handle copy, design and build so you stay focused on your business.
Yes. Copy is part of every project. We interview you, understand your best customers, and write every page for the reader and the sale.
We recommend it (fast, monitored, fairly priced) but it’s not locked in. You own your domain and content either way.
Every site is built on solid SEO foundations: clean HTML, fast pages, proper metadata, clear structure. Advanced tracking and ad-ready landing pages come standard on the Scale tier.
Email the studio with your requests and we'll be happy to implement them. Small changes are €100 per request, and larger structural or design reconfigurations are priced depending on the amount of time they will take. Most edits go live the same week.
